Track3D Crew launches on the Apple App Store
Published
Track3D Crew is now publicly available on the Apple App Store. The iPhone app takes the race context created in Track3D Race Planner and brings it into race day for crew members and followers.
More than a runner location
Track3D Crew is built around the Race Plan rather than treating tracking as an isolated GPS dot. Live runner observations can be related to the course, upcoming checkpoints and the timing plan so crew can understand where the runner is in the race.
That allows Track3D to present information such as race progress, the next checkpoint and estimated arrival information in the same race context the runner prepared before the event.
Race day tools for crew
The iPhone app brings together the live tracker with checkpoint alerts, checkpoint notes, crew navigation information and next checkpoint weather so race support information is available in one place.
Live Activities can keep useful race information visible outside the app, while CarPlay can present the active runner, next checkpoint and upcoming crew checkpoints using Apple’s approved Driving Task experience.
Works with Track3D tracking sources
Track3D Crew is designed to use supported tracking observations from sources such as Garmin inReach and the Track3D Garmin Connect IQ Data Field.
The tracking source provides location evidence. Track3D adds the course and Race Plan context that helps turn those observations into information a race crew can use.
From planning to race day
Track3D Crew extends the Race Plan into the event itself. The same course and checkpoint structure used before race day becomes the context for tracking the runner and supporting the crew as the race develops.
